How it works
A ducted evaporative cooling system functions by positioning a central cooling unit on the roof, which distributes cool air throughout your home or office via a network of ducts. Individual rooms are then supplied with cool air through ceiling outlets.
This system operates by drawing outside air through the roof-mounted cooling unit. As the air passes through moistened pads, it undergoes both cooling and filtration. The cooled air is then circulated through the ducts to each designated room, providing effective cooling.
Similar to a refreshing sea breeze, this method capitalises on the hotter outside air to enhance the cooling and evaporation process. To maintain a fresh indoor environment, it's recommended to keep windows and doors open, allowing for continuous air circulation rather than recirculation. Additionally, this cooling approach is advantageous for health, as it prevents air from becoming overly dry, which can lead to skin, throat, or eye irritations. Moreover, airborne germs and odours are expelled through the roof-mounted unit, contributing to a healthier indoor atmosphere.
