How does it work?

A ducted evaporative cooling system includes a cooling unit installed centrally on the roof.  Cool air is then taken throughout the home or office via a system of ducts.  The air is then delivered to individual rooms via outlets placed in the ceiling.

In essence, the system works by drawing air from outside via the cooling unit on the roof.  This then passes through moistened pads which both cool and filter the air.  The ducts then deliver the cool air to each room you want cooled.

The system works a little like a sea breeze – the hotter the incoming air, the greater the cooling and evaporation effect.

Users are encouraged to leave windows and doors open to help ensure the air within your home remains fresh as the air is not recirculated.

This form of cooling is also better for your health as it won’t dry out the air which often results in skin, throat or eye irritations.  The process also ensures airborne germs and smells are also expelled via the unit on the roof.
